Hello Garage of South Charlotte Case Studies: Skating Rink Floor Remodel
Challenge
This roller skating rink had a lot of wear and tear to the previous epoxy floor. After years of damage from kid's parties and skating, it needed a facelift that would be durable and stand to the test of time! The owner didn't want to keep repairing his floor and needed something that would stand up to high traffic and could be easily cleaned at the end of the day.
Solution
After coming in and looking at the project, our Garage Guru made a plan that would work for the roller rink! He showed the owner all of the various colors that he could do the long-lasting floor in, ultimately, he decided to go with the floor color Chocolate Chip. We came in on a Sunday night after the roller rink had shut down and started to tape up the area, there is an adjacent area to the roller rink that has a lot of carpet on it, so we wanted to make sure any of the dust from grinding the floor stayed contained. After taping plastic around the common area outside the bathroom and the bathrooms, we started our work! We used our grinders to grind off the old epoxy floor and said goodbye to epoxy and hello to polyaspartic! Over the next two days, we laid the floor and we love the way it turned out! We are glad we could help a business in our community protect it's floors for years to come!
